2026 Dwight Clark Legacy Series
A Night of Stories, Moments, and Reminders: 6th Annual Dwight Clark Legacy Series Raises more than $150,000 in Support of The Golden Heart Fund and a REACH scholarship created in Dwight Clark’s name
The sixth annual Dwight Clark Legacy Series delivered exactly what fans hoped for on May 20th, 2026at the Hammer Theatre - unforgettable stories, authentic moments, and a reminder of why the 49ers family remains unlike any other.
The evening opened with quarterback Brock Purdy joining Laura Britt for a State of the Team conversation, giving fans an inside look at the mindset and leadership driving the upcoming season.
But perhaps the most memorable moments came when the big men took center stage.
When offensive linemen Harris Barton, Randy Cross and Derrick Deese shared the stage with defensive linemen Dwaine Board, Brentson Buckner and Bryant Young, the result was electric. Their unfiltered tales from the trenches, stories of battles won, practical jokes, locker room moments and life inside one of football’s fiercest rivalries, kept the audience laughing throughout the evening and created the kind of authentic storytelling that makes the Dwight Clark Legacy Series special.
The night also celebrated one of the organization’s ultimate teammates as Kyle Juszczyk received the Dwight Clark Award, presented annually to the current player who best embodies Dwight’s spirit of teamwork and camaraderie. Accepting the honor, Juszczyk spoke about how meaningful it was to earn the respect of teammates inside what he called a “special unit of guys.”
Most importantly, the evening made an impact far beyond the stage.
Thanks to the incredible support of attendees, sponsors, donors and the 49ers community, the event raised more than $150,000 benefiting The Golden Heart Fund and a REACH scholarship created in Dwight Clark’s name, ensuring that Dwight’s legacy of teamwork, generosity and community continues to inspire future generations.
Be sure to mark your calendars - Tuesday, May 25, 2027 - for the 7th annual Dwight Clark Legacy Series at the Hammer Theatre. It is clear, you do not want to miss it!

“Football teams, they have superstars, they have role players, they have vocal leaders, they have smart guys, but the most successful teams, they have glue guys. That’s the most important thing. That’s truly what Mr. Clark was. Glue guys corral and pull the team closer together in the face of adversity. We’re here to honor him. Some of his teammates said he’s the best teammate they ever had, and he continues to support his teammates through the Golden Heart Fund to give back to his teammates and other 49ers. I’m inspired by his life and everything he’s done. I hope I can continue to positively impact my teammates and my communities in the future.”
